Module app_server_controller 

First-class controller shell for a Codex App Server process.

The protocol implementation lives in super::app_server and super::app_server_protocol. This module owns the AgentMux controller lifecycle: command construction, process/thread startup, turn dispatch, block output publication, and shutdown. Codex remains opt-in until the provider registry flips its controller type.

A Codex turn’s figures for the turn ledger (PassStats), from thread/tokenUsage/updated: one per model call, whose tokenUsage.last is that call’s usage (total is the whole thread’s). Codex reports no cost or API time, so those stay zero.
