WanCheckFailure

Enum WanCheckFailure

Source
pub enum WanCheckFailure {
    EnvelopeMismatch,
    Stale,
    CertInvalid,
    RecordMismatch,
    BadSignature,
}
Expand description

Why a carried signature did not verify. Each maps to the §2.3 verdict the caller records; the ones that are None there are “couldn’t check”, never a forgery signal.

Variants§

§

EnvelopeMismatch

The carried source or target isn’t the one actually delivered → Some(false).

§

Stale

Outside the freshness window → None, audit wan_sig_stale.

§

CertInvalid

The directory record’s chain is broken → Some(false), audit wan_cert_invalid. Only a tampering cloud or a bug produces this.

§

RecordMismatch

The record is for a different instance, channel, agent or key than the carried one → Some(false).

§

BadSignature

The message signature doesn’t verify under the certified key → Some(false).

Implementations§

Source§

impl WanCheckFailure

Source

pub fn verdict(self) -> Option<bool>

The wan_verified value this failure records: None for “couldn’t check”, Some(false) for an active verification failure.
