pub(super) struct RetryPayload {
pub config: PersistentSpawnConfig,
pub messages: Vec<QueuedRetryEntry>,
}Expand description
The spawn config + the growing batch of stdin messages to redeliver if
this generation’s --resume turns out to be stale. Named separately
from the state enum so MessageAppendedToRetryBatch can grow it in
place without reconstructing the whole variant.

pub fn append_in_seq_order(&mut self, entry: QueuedRetryEntry)
Grow the batch keeping it in seq order, not arrival order.
seq is assigned when a message is ACCEPTED, so seq order is the
order the user actually sent things. Arrival order at this batch is
not: the message that becomes the spawner seeds the batch first, and
the drain appends everything else afterwards — so a backlog retained
across a refused spawn (an eager resume whose credential gate failed,
try_eager_resume) would replay BEHIND the newer prompt that finally
spawned, reversing their delivery order (codex P2 on PR #3551).
Inserting by seq makes the replay order independent of which message
happened to seed.
