BootTimings

Struct BootTimings

Source
pub struct BootTimings {
    started: Instant,
    steps: Vec<(&'static str, u64)>,
}
Expand description

One boot’s worth of step timings.

Fields§

§started: Instant§steps: Vec<(&'static str, u64)>

Implementations§

Source§

impl BootTimings

Source

pub fn new() -> Self

Source

pub fn accounted_ms(&self) -> u64

Sum of every recorded step. Steps may nest (a wrapped pass calling another wrapped pass), in which case this double-counts the inner one — which is why the summary reports it alongside the wall-clock total rather than deriving one from the other.

Source

pub fn total_ms(&self) -> u64

Wall-clock since BootTimings::new — i.e. since srv started timing, not since process start.

Source

pub fn summary(&self) -> String

total=412ms accounted=350ms | open_stores=210ms registry_session_backfill=88ms ...

Steps are listed slowest-first: the point of reading this line is finding what to move off the boot path, and that is always the top of the list.

impl<T> Downcast for T
where T: Any,

§

fn into_any(self: Box<T>) -> Box<dyn Any>

Convert Box<dyn Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Box<dyn Any>. Box<dyn Any> can then be further downcast into Box<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
§

fn into_any_rc(self: Rc<T>) -> Rc<dyn Any>

Convert Rc<Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Rc<Any>. Rc<Any> can then be further downcast into Rc<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
§

fn as_any(&self) -> &(dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &Any’s vtable from &Trait’s.
§

fn as_any_mut(&mut self) -> &mut (dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &mut Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &mut Any’s vtable from &mut Trait’s.
